The education system of New Zealand

What are the benefits?

  • Apply only once : As soon as you get your student visa, then it’s up to you if you want to cover three courses which will be on the same visa—the maximum period you can stay without coming back to India in five years.
  • Experience seamless study : From the beginning till the end, all will be planned out so that the transition between the courses is much smoother and it does not hinder your performance.
  • Support of education providers : The education providers will guide you throughout the course duration and act as a backbone for you when you are in New Zealand. If you are pursuing your education from more than one institution, it is a must that the providers should have a formal agreement for that.
  • You may be able to work while you study : Various courses permit you to work for 20 hours each week and even provide scheduled breaks and summer vacation periods. If your work rights are included in your first course in New Zealand, then you can continue with the work as soon as you reach there. But if the work rights are available only for your second or subsequent program, then you’ll have to apply to Immigration New Zealand for different conditions before you can start working.

Step 5: Payment of Tuition Fees

Once you receive the Approval in Principle (AIP) of your visa from Immigration New Zealand and you are also done with the lodgement process. The next step will be paying for your 1st years’ tuition fees to the respective institution.

In the meanwhile, if you have opted for FTS, then you are also required to transfer the amount for your living expenses in contribution to your ANZ bank account.

Step 6: Visa Outcome

Soon after, you’ll receive an email regarding your visa application, and then you’ll be guided to collect your passport. Now it’s time for you to make arrangements for your accommodation and then start packing your bags.
